I went to a Lolita meet-up and this is what I wore:
Bolero, skirt, corset, hair-bow, wrist-cuffs: handmade by me.
Socks: Metamorphose temps de fille.
It’s getting cold here in Canberra so I made this earwarmer headband. I don’t really like how it looks on me, but it does keep my ears toasty. I’m just going to wear it round the house anyway.
Made yet another flower headband. I have so many of these now, my hair accessory drawer is overflowing.
All dressed up to walk the dog.
Skirt: Metamorphose temps de fille
Shoes: Doc Martens
Cowl, Brooch and Hairbands: handmade by me
Everything else is offbrand
Currently making a couple of dolly kei inspired hairclip/brooches
Winter cherry outfit, it’s definitely starting to get cold now.
Made myself another brooch/hair accessory. Really liking the colours of this one; browns, burgundy and gold.
I love thrift stores. These shoes were only $5!
Cherry salopette with matching hairclip. It took me days to make and turned out pretty good.
This is my latest creation; cherry salopette with matching hairclip! This is the most complex thing I’ve made so far, it has an invisible zip, elastic channels in the back, button adjustable straps, the bodice is lined, and the side and shoulder straps have interfacing which I had never used before. The pattern was from Otome no sewing 2. I’m super happy with how it turned out, especially as I wasn’t sure if the style would suit me. The only thing is that I may have to add lining to the skirt; the fabric clings to tights.
I still have loads of this fabric left so my next big project will be a retro inspired top using one of the examples from Pattern Magic 1 (tying a bow 4).
